WIKILEAKS chief Julian Assange was granted bail today at an extradition hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court in London.
Swedish authorities want to extradite Assange to face sexual assault charges.
The (London) Times' reporter Alexi Mostrous was tweeting the proceedings live from the courtroom, with the assent of the judge.
He said the judge began by apologizing that the courtroom was not big enough for the number of people in attendance.
Mostrous also tweeted, "Assange walks in, same suit as last time, smart cropped grey hair, whispering to [lawyer] Mark Stephens through the glass."
The prosecution said, "The court has already found that Mr. Assange is a flight risk and it's submitted that nothing has changed," Mostrous relayed in a tweet.
