The Secret Service was investigating Wednesday whether the shots were connected to reports of shots fired last week while Obama was headed to a summit in Hawaii. The Secret Service said it discovered the bullets Tuesday.

On Wednesday, officials could be seen taking photographs of a window on the south face of the executive mansion.

Gunfire was reported near the White House on Friday night. Officials are looking for a suspect in the shooting.

A spokesman for the Secret Service, Edwin Donovan, declined to answer additional questions about the bullets.
